Trust & Privacy
This page is maintained by Tonderai Magaya to answer common security and privacy questions about Tornicles. It describes the controls and practices currently in place for the public website and newsletter. It is editable project content, not an independent certification or third-party audit.
What we collect
Tornicles is primarily a public, read-only website. The only data we collect directly from visitors is what you submit yourself:
- Newsletter signup: email, optional first name, optional interest tag.
- Contact form: the message you choose to send and the email you provide.
- Anonymous product analytics events (page views, link clicks, CTA taps) used to understand how visitors navigate the site.
We do not ask for street addresses, payment details, or government identifiers on this site.
How your data is protected
Newsletter records are stored in a managed Postgres database behind row-level security. The public signup policy only allows new subscribers to be inserted, and the list itself is not readable from the website. Administrative access is limited to the project owner.
All traffic to tornicles.com is served over HTTPS. Secrets and API keys are stored server-side and are never shipped to the browser.
Cookies & analytics
Tornicles uses lightweight, privacy-respecting analytics to count page views and track which links and CTAs are used. We do not sell visitor data and we do not run third-party advertising trackers on this site.
Subprocessors
The site relies on a small set of infrastructure providers to host the application, deliver email, and run the database. These providers process data only to deliver their service to Tornicles.
Retention & deletion
Newsletter records are kept while you are subscribed. You can request removal at any time by emailing the address below and we will delete your record from the subscriber list.
